Mary Michail MA. LPC.  NCC.  ACS.

Mary Michail is the owner of TruOasis Counseling. Mary discovered her love of psychology in high school when she took a course and decided she wanted to dedicate her life to helping others. Following high school, Mary pursued her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Hope College, followed by a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Wayne State University. Following her degree from Hope, Mary worked with foster children as a foster care case manager while pursuing her graduate degree.

Her job in the field of foster care laid the foundation for her work later as a professional counselor. Mary went on to work with children and adolescents in a community health setting while also working in the substance abuse field with incarcerated youth and in an intensive outpatient program for young children and teens. Eventually, Mary’s work brought her to the private sector, where she expanded her work to adults and couples.

Mary’s extensive experience has allowed her to touch the lives of many during their counseling Journey. Her relaxed and honest style helps individuals to be able to identify and work on their goals and objectives to reach a place of success and happiness in their lives. Mary thoroughly enjoys being a therapist and looks forward to working with you.

Mary is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS)  bringing her wealth of knowledge and expertise into this role.  If you are seeking supervision or a practicum or internship please reach out to discuss your needs and she would be happy to help and support you as you begin your counseling career.

Britain Willcock

Britain (he/him) is a Counselor in Training, currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Counseling at Northwestern University. He has two other Master’s degrees that have propelled a career in the fine arts and corporate sector, both focused on exploring the breadth of the human experience.

Deep down he felt a strong calling to support people’s growth and healing in a more direct and personal way. This passion is also driven by his experience navigating mental health challenges within his own family — including bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, OCD, and PTSD. This foundation, combined with his own therapeutic journey, have cultivated in him a profound empathy and a nuanced understanding of just how complex the journey of life can be.

Britain is committed to creating a compassionate, inclusive space for clients navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma. He sees his role not as a problem-solver, but as a collaborative partner — someone who will listen deeply, sit with you in your emotions, and help you uncover your own inner wisdom and resilience. Through open-hearted dialogue, Britain will work with you to gain clarity on the challenges you’re facing and develop personalized strategies to help you move forward.
