Mary Michail is the owner of TruOasis Counseling. Mary discovered her love of psychology in high school when she took a course and decided she wants to dedicate her life to helping others. Following high school, Mary pursued her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at hope College followed by a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Wayne State University. Following her degree from Hope, Mary worked with foster children as a foster care case manger while pursuing her graduate degree. Her job in the field of foster care laid the foundation for her work later as a professional counselor. Mary went on to work with children and adolescents in a community health setting while also working in the substance abuse field with incarcerated youth and in an intensive outpatient program for young children and teens. Eventually Mary’s work brought her to the private sector where she expanded her work to adults and couples.
Mary’s extensive experience has allowed her to touch the lives of many during their counseling Journey. Her relaxed and honest style helps individuals to be able to identify and work on their goals and objectives to reach a place of success and happiness in their lives. Mary thoroughly enjoys being a therapist and looks forward to working with you.
